Huidae Cho (조희대), Ph.D., PE, CFM, GISP, is a water resources engineer and software developer in an engineering consulting company, and his research interests include optimization theory, uncertainty analysis, and computational hydrology, especially the application of GIS to water resources engineering. He has contributed to GRASS GIS development since 1999 (FreeBSD porting, XDRIVER IPC version, packaging for Cygwin and Slackware, FreeType font support, TOPMODEL distributed hydrologic modeling, etc.) and MapWindow GIS development since 2008 (bug fixing and plug-in implementations) and was the development team leader at a computer software company that develops cryptosystem applications such as DRM (Digital Right Management) and TRS (Tamper Resistant Software).
